Flash-back on my arrival day, at Nico's work. He's working for the BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology), doing research on green roofs. His tasks range from weighting bags of dried weeds and measuring the (huge) amounts of rain falling on his little experiment roof.
Okay I'm joking, it's not that boring. Beside these tasks, Nico works much outdoors : he has to weed the roof (in order to dry and weight them weeds), and watch the rain fall (before measuring it), a tough job, I tell you! All right, seriouslym green roofs are cool, we don't have enough of them. And Nico is doing this research to demonstrate the point of using them in Vancouver, for better water runoff patterns, thermal and noise insulation, in order to convince local contractors and architects. And it's nice, too!
